Have you downloaded the StopCOVID NI App yet?
This FREE mobile app supports contact tracing, will help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and save lives without knowing or sharing your identity or location.
If an app-user tests positive for COVID-19 the app can anonymously identify other users that are at heightened risk of acquiring the virus and give them advice and guidance.
By using the app you will be able to:
✅ Get alerts if you have been in close contact with an app-user who tests positive for coronavirus
✅ Add your test results if you test positive and alert other app-users that you tested positive
✅ Get advice on symptoms, booking free tests and what to do if you have been exposed to the coronavirus.
The app will work in any country where there is an interface to work together already set up and uses the same technology which so far includes the Republic of Irelands Covid Tracker App. As other parts of the UK and Europe launch apps like this, we can help stop the virus spreading when we travel. This also means that people using apps made for those countries can use them when travelling to Northern Ireland.
We are all encouraged to promote the use of the StopCOVID NI app to family, friends, colleagues and our wider networks. Contact tracing is most effective the more people use it, please download and invite others to use the app to help protect our community.
📱To download search: ‘StopCOVID NI’ on your mobile phone’s app store and select ‘Install’.
